Ranchi: Jharkhand`s political drama shifted to New Delhi Saturday, with beleaguered Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) Chief Minister Shibu Soren and his son Hemant set to meet Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders to discuss how to form a new government.
All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) president and Deputy Chief Minister Sudesh Mahto is also flying to New Delhi along with the Sorens.

"We will meet BJP leaders and try and end the political stalemate," Sudesh Mahto told reporters. Asked who would be the next chief minister of the state, he said: "We will decide at the (Delhi) meeting."

The BJP has called its Jharkhand unit leaders and allies to New Delhi for consultation on government formation. BJP state president and Deputy Chief Minister Raghubar Das left for New Delhi Friday evening.

Jharkhand is facing political uncertainty for the last four days.
The BJP first threatened to withdraw support to the Shibu Soren government after he voted in favour of the Congress-led government in parliament on Tuesday, defeating BJP-sponsored cut motions.

But after the JMM apologized publicly for the mistake, the BJP put on hold the withdrawal of support. The JMM has said it was ready to prop up a BJP-led coalition government.

JMM legislator Teklal Mahto, who accompanied Shibu Soren to New Delhi, said he was going to meet United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson as well as Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
