Let panel report on S-Band scam come: Nair

Thiruvananthapuram: Former ISRO chairaman G Madhavan Nair on Sunday declined to comment on the controversial S-Band spectrum deal between Devas Multimedia and the space agency's commercial wing Antrix Corporation holding that the issue was being probed by a high powered committee set up by the Centre.

Nair, however, said he was sure that the department had been following rules and regulations of the time.

"This matter is being inquired into by a high powered committee. So I cannot make any remarks on that. But I am sure that the department has been functioning as per the set rules and regulations of the time", Nair told reporters on the sidelines of the Kerala Development Congress organised by Rajiv Gandhi Instutute of Development Studies here.

"Let the report of the high powered committee come. After that I shall comment", Nair said.

When asked about reports that all members of the Antirx Corporation were not present at the Board meeting which took the crucial decision, Nair said 'I do not have any records on that. So, I cannot comment'.

panel report already submitted. What is the reaction of Mr.Nair?

if the said agreement is without any prior reference or approval of the government, our democratic system should not delay punitive action against all the utive who had done knowing the BIG deal of this magnitude after cheating the entire nation. It is unimaginable. Obviously ISRO utives might have thought that nobody can identify this underground deal. We must salute our CAG for unmasking this BIG corruption. We should also examine how Mr.Nair former Chief manage to get service extension. Everything must be reviewed and it is wise to take all responsible utives (current and former) of ISRO into CBI custody to avoid manipulation of documents and forging of cabinet secretaries signature. It is also requested to examine the accidental death of ISRO public relations officer and another Senior scientist of ISRO Headquarters, Bangalore while they were traveling to Trupathy on suspicious ground. Everybody is knowing that Mr.Nair is a man with loose moral and a symbol corruption, nepotism and service criminality. Hope media will unmask his dirty games he played under the pretext of his close association with Dr.Kalam. Mr.Kalam is apparently ethical but he was supporting the Mr.Nair for his service extension. UPA Gov must enquire Dr.Kalams association with Mr.Nair for ISRO Chief. Thanks the media for taking the initiative for unmasking the ISRO-ANTRIX-DEVAS S-Band scam into limelight. GOOD DAY
