Lok Sabha speaker asks Anna to end fast

New Delhi: Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar on Thursday appealed to civil society activist Anna Hazare to end his fast and assured him that the government would make a strict law to check corruption in the country.

Summing up the debate on corruption, Meira Kumar said: "The house appeals to Anna Hazareji to end his fast as his life is precious to country.”

He has raised an important issue, the house has discussed it and will discuss it in future also, said Kumar.

She said the government would take steps to come out with a strict law to check corruption.

Replying to the debate on corruption, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh also appealed to the 74-year-old leader to end his fast.

Leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj said that appeal should go from the house to Anna Hazare to end his fast.

we all should support anna hazare, because corruption is on its peak, mr.arvind kejriwal very well metioned about the common people proble about passport, we have to pay bribe to police otherwise they dont even forward your file with a proper comment to cid, i have still not received my passport since last 2 months.

why not government accept jan lokpal bill and submit in parliament. jan lokpal bill is transperant and will be a good to reduce the bigger level of corruption. unless & until the corruption is not eradicated from the country how the development of india happens. the quality of work, health/education/transportation provisions can only be improved when the govt is out of corruption. eventhough the whole world is watching this movement govt is coming out with the same tips and tactics to not to bring the good lokpal bill, if this cannot happen now it cannot be anymore. after few years the india will be identified by 1:99 where 1% is richer and 99% struggle to live their life. jai hind, anna`s protest should end with the approval of jan lokpal bill

though the lok sabha members appealed to anna hajare to end his satyagrh,it looks that the appeal is half heartidly made because every one know that a strict law will implement on about 90% of political leaders.

in view of, life vest in flexibilty & probably stiffness in dead, now annaji can be flexible & rational.apart from undue corruption many other odds due to modernization & undue developments are also existing like over pollution, unhygiens in big cities, undue stress, side/adverse giving drugs,allowing addictive substances,undue burdens on big cities, undue greeds & luxuaries etc. it is very difficult to remove all odds instantly when in constitution. it may take prolonged time. eg. persuing discontinuing of conventional drugs or excessive vehicles or undue & unhealthful burdens on big cities etc. and replacing these with aloternative drugs because former can give adverse side effects, may be bit odd inspite look right. we may have to with the time, with the need of time or with the nature/god`s prime goal ``nature balances it self on odds`` so one can respect these. best wishes.
