Mix-up of issues leaves Cong member puzzled in LS

A Congress member was found in a curious situation in the Lok Sabha due to confusion over the topic on which he was to speak in the House.

New Delhi: A Congress member was on Tuesday found
in a curious situation in the Lok Sabha due to confusion over
the topic on which he was to speak in the House.

Kamal Kishor was stopped by Speaker Meira Kumar from
speaking as he had given notice for some other subject.

During the Zero Hour, Kishor rose to speak on issues
concerning farmers in his Bahraich Constituency in Uttar
Pradesh.
However, the Speaker soon noticed that he had given notice
for speaking on the subject `recycling and disposal of
e-waste` and not on the one he was speaking.

While pointing out the error, the Speaker asked him to
stop. At this, Kishor looked puzzled and some fellow members
were seen telling him about the mistake.
Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs V Narayanasamy
went to Kishor to tell him about the error.

Kishor immediately rushed to the Lok Sabha Secretariat
officials sitting in the House and was seen making some
enquiries.

Finally, after two other members spoke, Kishor was allowed
to speak on e-waste issue, when he expressed concern over
pollution caused by disposal of electronic items like
television sets and mobile phones and favoured eco-friendly
recycling.
