Nirupama father`s anticipatory bail petition rejected

A local court rejected the anticipatory bail petition of Dharmendra Pathak, an accused in the case of his journalist-daughter Nirupama Pathak`s death.

Koderma: A local court on Tuesday rejected
the anticipatory bail petition of Dharmendra Pathak, an
accused in the case of his journalist-daughter Nirupama
Pathak`s death.

Sessions Judge A P Verma rejected the petition for
anticipatory bail, which was moved by Pathak after he was
booked under section 306 (abetting the commission of suicide)
along with his wife Sudha, son Samarendra and Nirupama`s
boyfriend Priyabhanshu Ranjan.
According to the chargesheet, Nirupama had committed
suicide and Pathak, his wife, son and Ranjan were charged with
abetment.

The bail petitions of Priyabhanshu and Samrendra
Pathak have been posted for hearing on March 29.
Nirupama was found dead on April 29 last year at her
Chitra Gupta Nagar Colony residence under the Jhumri-Telaiya
Police station of Koderma District.

Nirupama`s mother is currently out on bail.
