Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday exuded confidence that the NDA would return to power at the Centre in the next Parliamentary Elections.

Chapra: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday exuded confidence that the NDA would return to power at the Centre in the next Parliamentary Elections as the people of the country were fed up with misgovernance and corruption of the UPA government.

"The people are fed up with misgovernance and corruption of the UPA government and may vote the NDA to power at the next elections," he said at function after inaugurating the Jai Prakash Institute of Technology here.

Kumar slammed the UPA government for discrimination against the non-Congress governments in the states, including Bihar, and accused the latter of creating obstacles in the state government`s endeavour for development.

Had the NDA been in power at the Centre, there would have been no road blocks in the path of development of Bihar, the Chief Minister rued.

Making a string of specific allegations against the Centre, he said that the latter was sitting over a due payment of Rs. 1000 crores to the state government that it had spent on construction and repair of roads.

Bihar has also been discriminated against in allotment of coal linkages for its proposed power plants even as there has been a loot of coal blocks during the UPA government with the same being alloted to the private companies that had no plans for its utilization for industrial or development activities.
