New Delhi: In a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party and its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, Union minister Jairam Ramesh on Friday said that, "BJP is a master of hype, worlds greatest experts of hype."

"This is not momentum, its Modi-entum, Modi-entum," Ramesh said in an interview to Reuters on the upcoming elections.

While comparing Congress and the BJP, Ramesh said, "BJP is like a jackal, can sniff, move quickly but the Congress party is a 125 year old institution.

Congress party is a giant elephant, moves slowly, moves certainly, takes a long time to move."

Further, while taking a U-turn on his statement, Ramesh denied comparing Modi to Hitler.

"I haven`t compared anything to Hitler, have not used the word," the Congress leader said during the interview.

Earlier during an interview to the Reuters news agency, Ramesh had tried to portray Modi as a dangerous extremist and had said that, "Modi`s career reminded him of the rise of the Third Reich."

"Political autocracy, social divisiveness and economic liberalism. That`s Mr. Modi reduced to three dimensions. Exactly what created the autobahns and the Volkswagens in the 30s but also created the disaster of Germany.

India right now in 2013 - I would say we are going through what Germany went through in 1932," Jairam Ramesh had said.

Further while asking not to speculate so early about the results of 2014 General Elections, Ramesh said, "Many epitaphs of Congress have been written which were premature. Don`t write off the Congress so soon in the game."

On the prospects of the Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi`s chances to win next year elections, the senior cabinet minister added, "No generational shift has been smooth, fact is Mr. Gandhi is bringing about a generational change."

"RSS is playing a very important role, 2014 is going to be Congress vs RSS," Jairam Ramesh said while unleashing a fresh controversy that the BJP`s PM candidate may not be capable enough to keep the party united and strong enough to win the 2014 General Elections without the help of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
