Jaipur: A Pakistani national has been
arrested by the BSF in Rajasthan`s Barmer district after he
entered into the Indian territory illegally.
Niyaz Shekh, hailing from Pakistan`s Sukkur district,
crossed the border on Monday. He was arrested yesterday near
Sagoralia village by the BSF personnel who followed his foot
prints, officials said.
"During interrogation, the accused alleged that he was
tortured by the Pakistan government and hence he decided to
come to India," a BSF official said.
"He said that he was a member of `Jiye Sindh movement`
in Pakistan and also expressed his desire to meet the Prime
Minister of India," he said.
Skekh who is under local police custody is being
interrogated jointly by the intelligence agencies, he added.
