Prez urges people to work for national integration

New Delhi: President Pratibha Patil on Tuesday
urged the people to take inspiration from the teachings of
Guru Tegh Bahadur and work unitedly for national integration
and communal harmony.

In her message sent from the United Arab Emirates,
where she is on a state visit, Patil said, "On the sacred
day of the martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadurji, let us resolve to
prove worthy his legacy. May his teachings inspire us to
work unitedly to promote the causes of national integration,
communal harmony and service to humanity."

The martyrdom day of the ninth Sikh guru will be
observed tomorrow.
