New Delhi: Hours after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh signalled the government's willingness to accommodate Team Anna's concerns on Lokpal Bill, social activist Anna Hazare on Saturday slammed the UPA (United Progressive Alliance) government for linking his fast with political parties.

“We are being associated with BJP, RSS, and now the US. Tomorrow, they (government’s leaders) will say Pakistan is behind us,” said Hazare, whose indefinite fast pressing for a stronger Lokpal Bill to check corruption entered the fifth day today.

Hazare told his supporters that the fight will not end with Lokpal but will extend to reforms in the election system. After Lokpal, we will also have to fight for farmers' rights, bring a law that ensures permission of Gram Sabhas before land acquisition, he added.

Talking to media personnel at Ramlila Maidan, Team Anna announced that it won’t give up on its demand for a strong Lokpal Bill.

Commenting on an advertisement issued in today’s newspapers by a Parliamentary committee seeking public opinion and suggestions on the government’s version of Lokpal Bill within 15 days, Team Anna said the government is using diversionary tactics.

Former IPS officer and social activist Kiran Bedi said the government should have put out both the bills, Lokpal as well as Jan Lokpal, in the advertisement.

Accusing the government for delaying Lokpal Bill for decades, Team Anna added that the country can’t afford to wait longer for a strong bill against graft.

i support annajee for his jan lokpal & his courage to demonstate fundamental right to protest peacefully .look how corruption is a single largest threat to national security ,integration,research,education,infrastructure,health in a cascading way for example suppose i want to set up a cottage industry or any business since i have no money to pay bribe one can`t succeeded in achieving his or her goal which leads to depression,frustration, that leads to psychosomatic disorders & various social & family problems.

if we indians keep religion and politics aside, no one can defeat indians and jan lokpal bill will pass. if jan lokpal bill is passed then black money will stop going out of india and that money will use for the development of india and hence it will creates lots of jobs in india. jai hind.

this goverment dont want to do any thing...if they really want to do for any thing please bring the jan lok pall bill ....i think show present goverment all cabinate minister are corrupted they know that if this jan lok pall bill will come then they will be kicked out by the people oh this country... sorry to say all this thing but i cant handle my emotion after watching all this news for last 5 days

congress is trying to destroy anna`s movement against corruption. this is congress, who always patronize corrupt people, and of course, corruption. congress ruled for more than 50 years but never acted against corruption. its leaders looted us, since independence. most of sons and daughters of congress grown-up and studied in foreign and return back to india, only for rula and making money in short time. today, we (indians) must boycott congress and its leaders. they are , really, most corrupt and disgusting figures in india. its leaders having billions of dollars. they like like a king. in the name of secularism , congress always paly divide and rule politics. today it is trying to destroy anna`s movement by making false voices. congress must go out of this country. gandhi sir name suited to anna hazare, not sonia gandhi or rahul gandhi. mahatma gandhi was like anna. mahatma was not like sonia or rahul. today, there are many patriotic and honest and hard working guys those are more capable than rahul gandhi. we must discourage this so-called gandhies and must encourage other honest youngsters. media should also care that there so many capable and honest guy in india, those are more efficient than rahul gandhi . media must encourage honest guys.

shame...shame.....a ministry which could successfully do $ 40 billion scam [2g] in 15 minutes, cannot pass a jan lokpal bill from last 40 years. citizens of india understands that govt hiding behind parliament & standing committee and shadow boxing with anna team and spokespersons are only to fool and cheat the country. now, pm should worry only for strong jails for left-over looters, let bharat ratna mahatma anna hazare take care about strong janlokpal. jai hind.
