Thiruvananthapuram: The Southern Air Command
(SAC), based here, on Friday celebrated the Air Force Day.
Leading the celebrations, Air officer Commanding-in-Chief
Air Marshal Sumit Mukerji, administered the Air Force Day
pledge to the personnel at the command and highlighited the
strategic importance of the command and the need on the part
of them to remain ever vigilant.
Later in the evening, a social get-together was held for
veteran Air Force officers. Kerala Governor R S Gavai was
the chief guest for the get-together.
Medicare for air warriors and their familyu members,
aritiety entertainment programmes were also organised as
part of the week-long celebrations.
