Nagpur: After being forced out of BJP following by his bete noire Narendra Modi, Gujarat Chief Minister, Sanjay Joshi on Monday attended a meeting of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh here on Monday.
When the media approached him with questions, he said "I will talk to you tomorrow".
Joshi was at the concluding function of RSS` annual training camp at their headquarter at Reshimbagh.
At the function, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat accused successive governments at the Centre of failing to reclaim Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) in the last 66 years.
"It is a complete failure on our part that we could not regain the part of Kashmir occupied by Pakistan. Parliament even passed a unanimous resolution 18 years ago that PoK is an integral part of India but successive governments have failed miserably to do anything about it", Bhagwat said.
Bhagwat, who spoke on a wide range of issues, was critical of government-appointed interlocutors` report on Kashmir, alleging they did not take into account the views of Kashmiri Pandits.
"Kashmir has no dual character. It was an integral part of India and the Article 370 of the Constitution (which provides special status to the state), was an "unjust" arrangement, the RSS leader maintained.
Bhagwat, referring to the anti-graft movement launched by Anna Hazare and yoga guru Ramdev, cautioned corruption cannot be eradicated by such movements alone. "We have to bring a change in our lifestyle."
Attacking West Bengal government, Bhagwat alleged it was indulging in appeasement of minorities.
Talking about the economic situation, he called for devising a new way to measure GDP. In this context, he cited the example of then French President Nicolas Sarkozy, who set up a panel, in which Indian Nobel prize-winning economist Amartya Sen was a member, to suggest a new way to measure growth so as to include quality-of-life factors.
Bhagwat asked the RSS cadre who underwent training to
remain active in their chosen field and work with dedication.
He said RSS has stood for nation building since its inception some 85 years back.
Director of Hindi daily `Punjab Kesari`, Ashwin Kumar, was guest of honour for the function.
In his speech, the journalist-owner of the popular daily recalled the sacrifices made by his family in Punjab when militancy was at its peak in the state.
After the assassination of his grandfather Lala Jagat Narayan in 1980 and later his father Ramesh Chandra in May 1984, the daily faced closure but policemen stood guard against the terrorists and ensured the newspaper`s distribution, Kumar recalled.
