Six more FIRs to filed in CWG scam

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will file six more first information reports (FIR) in the multi-crore Commonwealth Games scam, an official said Friday.

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will file six more first information reports (FIR) in the multi-crore Commonwealth Games scam, an official said Friday.

"The FIRs will be registered soon in different cases of overlays in CWG case," said the official.

The CBI will concentrate on irregularities in infrastructure projects completed ahead of the mega event held in October last year.

"Many infrastructure projects were carried out by foreign firms and we have to look each and every transaction. So, filing of charge sheet, in each case, may take some time," said the official stressing that no one who has done wrong would be spared.
"Seeing the investigation till now, we estimate that around six more FIRs will be filed in the CWG scam," said the official.

Till now, a total of 12 FIRs have been filed for financial irregularities in organising the event.
