New Delhi: Taking a hard stand, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has reportedly declined audience to Trinamool ministers, who were seeking to meet him on Friday afternoon to tender their resignation.

As per reports, the Prime Minister took the decision not to meet TMC leaders after it became clear that the ties between the two sides have completely broken down. Although there is no confirmation on the development, the fact that their 3 pm meeting has not yet been confirmed by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

In the eventuality of being denied an audience with the PM, TMC ministers led by Mukul Roy are expected to head to PMO and submit their resignations in writing.

Later the group would meet President Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhavan at 4.30 pm to formally submit the letter withdrawing support from the UPA2 government.

Clearly, TMC and the Congress have reached a point of no return, as Mukul Roy said, “The game is over, there is no scope for further negotiations.”
