BJP leader Madanlal Khurana says country is passing through "sensitive phase" after being let down by UPA.

Chandigarh: Senior BJP leader Madanlal Khurana on Sunday alleged that the country was passing through a "sensitive phase" after being let down by the ruling coalition at the Centre.

"The country is passing through a sensitive phase. In the next 6-8 months, this government (UPA) will change," BJP`s head of Senior Citizens Cell Madanlal Khurana said addressing a meet of the party`s senior citizens here.

"We are sure that the government will change and BJP will come forward and lead this country in the right direction," the former Delhi Chief Minister said.

People of the country were let down by the various alleged scams involving the UPA Government, he said.
Speaking on the occasion, senior BJP leader and former Punjab Minister Balramji Dass Tandon demanded that the Government should give more benefits to senior citizens including concessions in travel and age relaxations in health insurance.
Former MP Satya Pal Jain, Chandigarh BJP President Sanjay Tandon and former Union Minister and party leader Harmohan Dhawan also addressed the meet.
