New Delhi: Three more persons succumbed to
swine flu in the country on Thursday, taking the toll to 405, even
as 152 fresh cases of the disease were reported.
Delhi reported the maximum of 46 fresh swine flu cases,
followed by Kerala (19), Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra (19 each),
Karnataka (17) and Haryana (14).
One death was reported from Maharashtra which has seen
the maximum number of people succumbing to the disease. Two
deaths have been reported from Gujarat.
The total number of deaths due to swine flu in the
country rose to 405 and the number of infected people touched
12,486.
Till date, samples from 66388 people have been tested for
swine flu. Of the 152 cases reported today, six have foreign
travel history and the rest are indigenous cases.
