Website, ringtone, SMS on Advani`s yatra launched

To take the message of Advani`s yatra to a wider audience, BJP launched a dedicated website, a missed call service and a ringtone.

New Delhi: In a bid to take the message of
senior leader LK Advani`s yatra for good governance and clean
politics to a wider audience, BJP on Tuesday launched a dedicated
website, a missed call service and a ringtone for the 38-day
campaign.

Making the announcement here, BJP spokesperson Prakash
Javadekar said a website: janchetnayatra.in was being launched
to propagate the message of Advani`s yatra against corruption.

"We are creating this a blog as all details of the yatra
will be posted here as and when they take place. Speeches and
interactions of Advani will be shown live on the website. A
map on this site will also show the current position of the
yatra and the destinations covered," Javadekar said.

The BJP page on Facebook will also share details of the
yatra on a regular basis.

Advani began his 7,600-km yatra from Jayprakash Narain`s
birthplace Sitab Diara in Bihar today. He will visit 23 states
and four union territories during the 38-day yatra.

Javadekar said the Jan Chetna Yatra`s theme song is
also being released on the web as a ringtone.

"We expect around five crore people, mostly the youth,
will use this ringtone," he said.

A missed call service--where a person gives a missed
call on a given number and gets all the latest information
about the yatra through SMS--has also been launched. The
number is 022-61550900.
