Wings of Gold for 12 Navy pilots, 7 Coast Guard pilots

Twelve Indian Navy pilots and seven Coast Guard pilots were awarded ‘Wings of Gold’ at the passing out parade of the 74th Helicopter conversion course at Naval Air Station Rajali at Arakkonam near here.

Chennai: Twelve Indian Navy pilots and seven Coast Guard pilots were awarded ‘Wings of Gold’ at the passing out parade of the 74th Helicopter conversion course at Naval Air Station Rajali at Arakkonam near here.

The `Wings of Gold` were awarded by Rear Admiral Karambir Singh, Chief of Staff, Headquarters Eastern Naval Command, an official press release here said.

The passing out Parade marks the culmination of 21 weeks of rigorous training in flying and aviation subjects at the Helicopter Training School located at INS Rajali. More than 500 pilots have passed through its portals, the release said
