New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party senior leader Yogendra Yadav on Saturday denied that he has resigned from party`s Political Affairs Committee (PAC).
Yadav took to social networking site, Twitter, and wrote, "Rumours about my quitting AAP are baseless. I am very much with the party and committed to working for it harder than ever."
Earlier in the day, there were reports that Yadav, AAP`s Haryana in-charge, had resigned taking moral responsibility of the poll defeat in the recently concluded polls.
Moreover, another AAP leader Naveen Jaihind, who was the party`s candidate from Hisar, has also resigned from the post of National Executive.
According to reports, there were some differences between Yadav and Jaihind which led to their resignation from various posts in the party.
Meanwhile, Jaihind has told ANI that, “If Yogendra ji has so much problem with me, I`ll work as volunteer and resign as National Executive.”
“We will talk to both the leaders. They are still part of the party. Their resignation has not been accepted,” said Sanjay Singh, party leader.
A few days back AAP senior leaders Shazia Ilmi and Captain GR Gopinath had resigned while blaming the party for lacking inner-party democracy.
In the Lok Sabha polls, the AAP could manage to bag only 4 seats from Punjab out of the over 400 seats it had contested across the country.
