New Delhi: Gmail users can now send files up to 10 GB from their Google Drive, announced Google on Wednesday.
“Now with Drive, you can insert files up to 10GB — 400 times larger than what you can send as a traditional attachment. Also, because you’re sending a file stored in the cloud, all your recipients will have access to the same, most-up-to-date version”, wrote Gmail’s product manager Phil Sharp, in a blog post.
Gmail will also double-check that all your recipients have access to any files being sent. For instance, whenever you send a file from Drive that isn`t shared with everyone, you`ll be prompted with an option to change the file`s sharing settings without leaving your email page.
You can even paste Google Drive links directly into emails to share a file. You can also attach videos, PDF’s, images, etc via this new option.
Google has announced to roll out this file-sharing feature over the next few days.
So, click on the Compose tool and start using it.
