New Delhi: Now passengers can find out their berth position or availability of seats in a particular train on the Facebook, as the Delhi Division of Northern Railway has provided the linkage at the popular social networking site.
Besides the arrival and departure related information, platform numbers where a particular train will stop at New Delhi, Old Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin stations is also available on the Facebook page of Delhi Division Northern Railway.
"We have given the linkage at the Facebook page to facilitate the commuters to avoid rush at enquiry windows at stations," a senior Northern Railway official said.
Launched in April this year, Facebook page of Delhi Division is having hits increasing by the day. "It has now been made possible to afford train enquiry and current reservation status display system on the page," the official said.
Through the Facebook, Northern Railway is informing the general public about the latest development activities and facilities being provided at the railway station and responding to queries.
