New Delhi: Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg will surely earn a lot of praise from feminists all over the world with his inspiring advice to young women.
Recently, he shared his personal challenge for 2016 , to build an assistant powered by artificial intelligence. The post obviously got a lot of comments but one special comment from Darlene Hackemer Loretto, a grandmother caught Mark's attention to which he had a perfect response.
“I keep telling my granddaughters to date the nerd in school, he may turn out to be a Mark Zuckerberg! Thanks to FB, I’ve reconnected with family and many old friends and classmates,” Loretto wrote.
Zuckerberg had a perfect reply to this and he wrote “Even better would be to encourage them to *be* the nerd in their school so they can be the next successful inventor!”
The response has been applauded for its empowering thought which also underlines the gender imbalance problem in technology companies. It inspires young girls to be their own heroes rather than waiting for men to be their ''knights in shining armours''.
