Nepali-origin businessman kidnapped from Assam

Tezpur: A Nepali-origin businessman has been kidnapped by suspected NDFB militants in lower Assam`s Sonitpur district, police said Monday.
Two motorcycle-borne NDFB ultras came to the house of Madhab Bhatta Rai and called him out from his Kalamati Naharanigaon residence at around 10.30 pm last night.

The insurgents then kidnapped 25-year-old Rai and took him away to an unknown destination, the police said.
An intensive search operation by police and para- military forces assisted by army intelligence was on to trace him out, the police said.
