Guwahati: UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi
and AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi will lead Congress`
campaign for the ensuing assembly poll in Assam, Chief
Minister Tarun Gogoi on Monday said.
Addressing a massive rally organised by the youth wing
of the Congress here, Gogoi also today accused Opposition
parties, including AGP, of launching a "misleading" campaign
against Congress ahead of the assembly election.
"The Opposition have launched a misleading campaign
but I am sure that the people will not be hoodwinked," he
said.
Gogoi said he and his cabinet colleagues had declared
their assets and it was time that the Opposition leaders
including his predecessor Prafulla Kumar Mahanta publish their
property lists.
Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) Bhubaneswar
Kalita and senior party leaders also spoke.
