Two teenagers drown in Mizoram

Aizawl: Two teenagers were drowned in the
Mizoram-Myanmar border river Tiau near Thingsai village in south Mizoram`s Lunglei district last evening, the police said.

The two boys - Mesak Remnalalnghaka (14) and Lalhuthanga (13), both belonging to Thingsai village went to the river to catch frogs and drowned, the police said.

Rescue operation began last night in which the villagers of Thingsai and surrounding villages participated and the body of Lalhuthanga was recovered at around 10 PM last night.
A search for the body of Remnalalnghaka continued.

Two Thingsai villagers had drowned in the same location in September last.
