Berhampur: Police have sounded
alert in the Maoist infested districts of Orissa in the
wake of the banned CPI (Maoist) observing `martyrs week` from
tomorrow.
"We have sounded alert in Ganjam, Kandhamal and
Gajapati districts to keep a strict vigil on the movement of
ultras," DIG of Police (southern range) R K Sharma said
here today.
M Balakrishna alias Manoj and Deoji alais Chetan, two
top ranking Maoist leaders, hailing from Andhra Pradesh were
reportedly camping in these areas for the last two months,
police said.
