A mild earthquake measuring 1.8 on the Richter scale was recorded near Bhubaneswar on Friday evening.

officials said.

The tremor recorded at 17.00 hours IST had its
epicentre at a location about 6 km from the seismological
observatory here, they said, adding, there were no reports of
damage to life or property.
