Rourkela: Sub-Divisional Police Officer
(SDPO), Bonai, Nagendra prasad Nayak has been placed under
suspension following raids conducted by the vigilance
department of the police.
The suspension order issued by the state police
headquarters, Cuttack was served to Nayak on Wednesday. Although
the order did not mention any specific reason it said the
SDPO was suspended with immediate effect.
The suspension came in connection with the
simultaneous raids carried out by the vigilance officials at
seven locations across Orissa, including his office and
residence at Bonai in Sundargarh district at Rourkela
residence and various relatives houses.
The raid was conducted following allegation that the
SDPO accumulated assets disproportionate to his known sources
of income.
