I will not appear before disciplinary committee: Jagbir Brar

Backing former Punjab Finance Minister and expelled SAD leader Manpreet Singh Badal, Jalandhar MLA Jagbir Brar today said he will not appear before the disciplinary committee even if he is ousted from the party.

Jalandhar: Backing former Punjab Finance
Minister and expelled SAD leader Manpreet Singh Badal,
Jalandhar MLA Jagbir Brar today said he will not appear before
the disciplinary committee even if he is ousted from the
party.
"If they (party) did not leave a four time MLA and the
former Finance Minister, then what better treatment can I
expect? Even if I appear before the committee, the result
would be no different," he said.

Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal sacked Manpreet
from the cabinet following differences over continuing
subsidies and a reported offer by the Centre on debt waiver.

"Badal was first expelled from the government and then
from the party as a reward for his honesty, besides being
close to the Chief Minister. And I am nobody to them," Brar
added.
MLAs Jagbir Singh Brar and Manjinder Singh Kang were to
suppose to be present before the Disciplinary Affairs
Committee of SAD today in response to the show-cause notice
issued to them for supporting Badal.

The MLA has not received any notice from the party, and
it will be considered once received, sources close to Kang
said.
