New Delhi/Jaipur: 12 live cartridges were
found in the hand baggage of Rajasthan Home Minister Shanti
Kumar Dhariwal when he was to board a flight to Jaipur from
the IGI airport here.
The cartridges were found during security check at the
airport when he was to take a Jet Airways flight on January
30, airport sources said.
When told that cartridges or other explosives are not
allowed in the aircraft, the minister produced his arms
licence to CISF officials.
"Dhariwal was allowed to board the plane after CISF
took the live cartridges from him, as per the norms," a CISF
When contacted in Jaipur, Dhariwal told PTI, "Whatever
happened there was only by mistake and I don`t want to comment
more on this."
