Jaipur: Unknown assailants chopped off a hand and legs of a 70-year-old woman to rob silver anklets and bangles she was wearing, leaving her dead in Tonk district, police said.
Using sharp edged weapon, the assailants killed the elderly woman last night and fled with the valuables she was having, police said.
Kesho Devi was found dead in pool of blood this morning by her family members.
Devi's ailing husband and others were sleeping in a farm and she was alone in the house last night.
Irate locals protested and demanded immediate arrest of the accused. They were later pacified by senior officers, who assured them of action.
