Jaipur: Terming as "very disappointing" the one year performance of Vasundhara Raje government, Rajasthan Congress on Wednesday said every one in the society was unhappy as it failed to provide respite from inflation, corruption, crime, malnutrition and lawlessness.
Rajasthan Congress President Sachin Pilot also condemned the BJP government's decision to celebrate the anniversary saying it was wasting state exchequer.
He said that on December 13, when the BJP government would celebrate its anniversary, all Congress district committees members would hold protest demonstrations against the Raje dispensation.
"One year of Raje government was very disappointing, and every one in the society is resentful and unhappy. Inflation, corruption, malnutrition, crime and lawlessness have hit the public.
"The BJP government could not provide respite to them in last one year, and now wasting the state exchequer for anniversary celebrations on Janpath (a long road connecting Vidhan Sabha and Statue Circle in Jaipur)", Pilot said while directing district committees to hold protests on that day.
Meanwhile, at BJP headquarters, party's state President Ashok Parnami told workers that party would mobilise nearly two lakh members, including MPs and MLAs, to attend the first anniversary of Vasundhara Raje government here on December 13.
"Though Rajasthan government is primary host of anniversary celebrations of the BJP rule, the party has asked nearly two lakh workers to attend the anniversary event at Janpath," Parnami said.
He said three Union Cabinet ministers from Rajasthan and other ministers would be invited by the state government, while the party will extend the invite to senior leaders from everywhere in the country.
Parnami asked the party functionaries to popularise in public several schemes undertaken by Raje government like 'Sarkar Aapke Dwar' and 'Bhamashah Yojna' related to pension and medical relief for BPL beneficiaries.
