Jodhpur: Six persons allegedly involved in a multiple murder case have been arrested here, police said Tuesday.

In a major breakthrough in the case where five members of a family were murdered on June 21, five accused were arrested from different places in Kishangarh, while the mastermind was arrested from Jodhpur in the last two days, they said.

Although the motive behind the murders is yet to be ascertained, preliminary investigation reveal it to be a case of contract killing, they said.

The mastermind identified as Bhavesh alias Bunty is believed to have been given a contract to kill Dharmendra Sindhi while the rest were killed to eliminate eyewitness, they added.
Bhavesh is a tiffin supplier and the five youths identified as Kamal Viashnav, Sunil Kumar, Manish Bagaria, Vikram Singh and Narendra Singh were employed at his tiffin service centre. All of them have criminal antecedents, DCP Rahul Prakash said.

A girl identified as Sunita, who was not a part of Dharmendra`s family was also found murdered and is said to be the cause of this incident.

"All of them arrived at Dharmendra`s house where they had a heated argument with him following which all the family members were killed within next twenty minutes," police said.
Dharmendra`s grand daughter Kashish, the only survivor who lay unconscious was the only link in this case. Based on her statement and Dharmendra`s call details, the police nabbed the accused.

"We are interrogating the accused to understand the motive behind these murders. A major conspiracy might be involved," DCP Prakash said.
