Jaipur: Vehicular movement on Jaipur-Delhi national highway remained affected due to traffic diversion following cracks in a flyover in Kotpuli area in the district, police said on Saturday.
"Traffic has eased comparatively but 5-7 km long stretch is still affected. Vehicles on way to Jaipur from Delhi are passing through service lane whereas traffic coming from Jaipur has been diverted through Virat Nagar and Alwar," SP Jaipur Rural Bahadur Singh told PTI.
The diversion has delayed journey time between the two cities by 2-3 hours, they said.
Singh said one lane of the flyover was made partially open for light vehicles coming from Jaipur side and the main traffic and heavy vehicles have been diverted.
District Collector Krishna Kunal said the traffic was moving slowly, but not stranded.
He informed that Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Krishna Pal is scheduled to visit the affected are and the flyover this evening.
The traffic was affected on Monday after the cracks were seen in the bridge following which the diversion was made and repairing have started.
