Jaipur: A 29-year-old youth was allegedly beaten to death by two men in Nagaur district after he made "derogatory remarks" about their sister, police said on Monday.

The deceased, identified as Mahendra Raigar, was teasing Rajaram and Panki about their sister returning home after having gone missing. This angered the two brothers who attacked Raigar with sticks at Raigaron ka Mohalla in Kuchera town last night, they said.

The victim succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

A case under Section 302 of IPC (murder) has been registered against them, police said, adding the duo have not been arrested so far.

Villagers today staged a protest outside the Kuchera police station and laid the deceased's body on the road for couple of hours, they said.

Police said the family members removed the body after they were assured of early justice by the administration.
