Washington: For those who want to pet a puppy but cannot for their `hairy issues` and concern for kids, techies have developed a robotic dog that would charm people for all the canine ability, but of course in a toy-ish manner.

Zoomer, size of a small-puppy at roughly 10 inches long and 6 inches high, designed by Spin Master LTD, is a 99 dollar robotic pet for children aged 5 and up.

The robotic pet has motorized joints and sensors to detect motion, objects and touch and responds to voice commands in three different languages, English, Spanish and French, Mashable reports.

Zoomer`s has wheels instead of feet, enabling it to swiftly move around, has LED eyes and a rubber tail, and has internal battery that can be charged with mini-USB cable directly from a computer or wall plug.

The report said that a full charge takes about an hour and enables the toy for about 30 minutes of play time.

The robotic pet doesn`t listen and one needs to press the button on the head of Zommer and wait for its LED eyes to turn into two question marks before giving any command.

However, it can follow commands like rolling on the floor, shake hands, play with a ball and pee on command with no messy cleanup, the report added.
