'Biking Queens' create history, cover 10 nations in 39 days to promote 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' initiative - In Pics

Women bikers, Dr Sarika Mehta, Ar Yugma Desai, Durriya Tapia and Khyati Desai created history after completing a 10,000 km journey covering 10 South East Asia nations in 39 days.

'Biking Queens' took up the task to promote 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' initiative in several countries.

'A proud moment for all of us' - wrote the 'Biking Queens' on Facebook after meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The four bikers set off on their mission from Kathmandu on June 6, 2016.

They covered Thailand, Nepal, Laos, Vietnam, Bhutan, Myanmar, Singapore, Cambodia, Malaysia among other countries.

They  took up issues like female infanticide, gender inequality, education for girls and women empowerment.

They are the first women bikers to cover 10 nations.The Biking Queens hold Asia Book of Records and India Book of Records for their feat.
