Attempt to blow up school in Pakistan foiled

A major terrorist attack was foiled Friday when the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan defused a four-kg bomb planted outside a school.

Islamabad: A major terrorist attack was foiled Friday when the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan defused a four-kg bomb planted outside a school.

According to police, unidentified terrorists planted the bomb near the main gate of the government primary school in Babu Tang area, Geo News reported.

The school was evacuated after a teacher informed the police about the bomb.

Later, the BDS team defused the bomb and the school resumed its activities.

Earlier, a similar bid to blow up a government school in this province was foiled by a bomb disposal squad (BDS) which defused explosives planted outside the school Feb 4.
