Karachi: Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik has reiterated that American private security agency Blackwater’s presence is limited to Afghanistan and Iraq only, and it is not active in Pakistan.

Malik claimed Pakistan had virtually broken the backbone of terrorists during the military offensive in Waziristan.

However, he added that the war against terrorism could not be won unless local traitors and political elements supporting terrorists were not identified and punished.

“The war against terrorism would continue till the elimination of last terrorist,” The Nation quoted Malik, as saying.

According to him, 50 percent terrorists active in the country belong to banned al Qaeeda, Lashkar-i-Jhangavi, Jaish Muhammad, etc.

He also praised religious figures from all schools of thought for issuing decrees against suicide attacks.

He urged the world to take serious notice of the violations being committed by terrorists.
