Blast kills five militants in Pakistan's NW

At least five Tehrik-i-Taliban militants were killed and four others injured today when a blast ripped through a compound of the banned outfit in northwest Pakistan.

Peshawar: At least five Tehrik-i-Taliban militants were killed and four others injured today when a blast ripped through a compound of the banned outfit in northwest Pakistan.

The incident occurred at Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan's compound in Raj Gul area in Tirah Valley of Khyber Agency, sources said.

Meanwhile, two security personnel were injured in a roadside remote-controlled Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in Spinwam area of North Waziristan Agency.

Security forces were clearing land-mines along the road when the blast occurred, injuring two soldiers, official sources said.

The injured soldiers were shifted to the Combined Military Hospital Thall for medical treatment.
