Disclose Pakistan Army budget to Parliament: Sharif

Nawaz Sharif said Pakistan has rendered great sacrifices in war on terror.

Islamabad: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, who heads the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), on Saturday demanded that the budget of the country`s Army and intelligence agencies should be disclosed to Parliament.

Sharif, who met US Ambassador to Pakistan Cameron Munter in Lahore on Saturday, said Pakistan has rendered great sacrifices in the war on terror, the Geo News reported.

The PML-N chief said the US special forces raid in Abbottabad, during which al Qaeda founder-chief Osama bin Laden was killed, was against the sovereignty and integrity of Pakistan.
Bin Laden was killed by US Navy SEALs in a secret mission on May 02 in Abbottabad city barely 120 km from the Pakistani capital. The US later said it did not include Pakistan in the mission so as not to "jeopardise" it.
