Peshawar: Four persons, including two
women, were killed when a mortar shell hit their house in
lawless Orakzai tribal region in northwest Pakistan on Wednesday,
sources said.
The mortar shell fired from an unknown location hit
the house of Qabil Khan in Feroze Khel town of Orakzai Agency.
The four persons were killed instantly.
Pakistani security forces backed by artillery and
airpower are conducted an offensive in the region to flush out
pro-Taliban militants.
Officials have claimed that over 150 militants have
been killed since the operation was launched last week.
