Islamabad: A helicopter with six persons
on board crashed into the Indus river in Sindh province in
southern Pakistan on Tuesday though there were no reports of
casualties.
The helicopter was seen flying at a low altitude
before it crashed into the river at Sehwan, 200 km from
provincial capital Karachi, officials said.
Government official Ataullah Shah told the media that
the helicopter belonged to an NGO.
Police teams had been sent to the site in Jamshoro
district where the helicopter had crashed, Shah said.
Media reports said the crash occurred when the pilot
attempt to put down the helicopter after it developed a
technical problem.
There were no reports of casualties.
