Dhaka: A top leader of Bangladesh
chapter of Pakistan-based terror outfit, Lashkar-e-Taiba has
been arrested in the country.
The elite anti crime Rapid Action Battalion (Rab)
arrested the Bangladesh chapter coordinator of LeT, a from
Narayanganj district last night.
The RAB picked up Maulana Mohammad Imran from
Madaninagar under Siddirganj police station in the district,
Gazi Mohammad Ahsanuzzaman, director of Rab-11, said this at a
press conference at the Rab-11 office at Adamji in Narayanganj
town. Imran is the son of Mohammad Ali of Paikpara in
Baniachang sub-district under Habiganj district.
A huge amount of counterfeit foreign currency,
one mobile phone set and books on Jihad were seized from his
possession, the Rab said.
