Islamabad: Authorities in Pakistan-occupied
Kashmir (PoK) on Friday sealed a cinema theatre for exhibiting an
Indian movie.

The hall at Mirpur was sealed because screening of Indian
films is prohibited in PoK which is the "base camp of the
Kashmir freedom movement," state-run news agency reported.
"When the Akaas cinema house was raided, it was screening
an Indian movie," Mirpur?s Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Tayyib
said.

A case was registered against the hall?s owner and
further investigation is in progress, he said.
Indian films are very popular in Pakistan and have been
screened in halls across the country ever since the government
eased restrictions on the import of Bollywood productions some
years ago.
