India and Pakistan arrest hundreds of fishermen for violating the maritime boundary.

Islamabad: Pakistani authorities arrested 11
Indian fishermen and seized three boats on Wednesday for allegedly
fishing illegally in the country’s territorial waters,
officials said.

The Maritime Security Agency, which made the arrests,
handed over the fishermen to the Docks Police in Karachi for
further action, officials said.

Dozens of fishermen have spent years in jail even after
completing their prison terms.

In recent months, both countries have taken steps to
speed up the release of the fishermen.
