Pakistani police have said they had identified the suicide bomber who attacked an office of the Inter-Services Intelligence agency in the eastern city of Multan last month.

Islamabad: Pakistani police have said they had identified the suicide bomber who attacked an office of the Inter-Services Intelligence agency in the eastern city of Multan last month.

The bomber was identified as Abdul Waheed, a resident of a suburb of Taunsa Sharif sub-division of Punjab province, sources associated with the investigation into the attack were quoted as saying by state-run APP news agency yesterday.

Waheed was a member of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, the sources said.

The man who made the bomb used in the attack and the father of the suicide bomber were in the custody of law enforcement agencies, they said.

At least 12 people were killed in the attack on the ISI office within the Multan cantonment on December 8.

Superintendent of Police Karamatullah Malik confirmed the report about the identification of the suicide bomber and arrest of other accused but did not give their names.
