Taseer also forwarded a message of “friendship and love” to Sharif, the Daily Times reports.

He also thanked Sharif for “criticising him” during a news conference in Islamabad.

Taseer told reporters that he was thankful to Sharif for “mentioning him” during his news conference in Islamabad.

He termed the democratic system in Pakistan a model for the entire world, where the media enjoyed complete freedom and the government was following the policy of reconciliation.
