Islamabad: A minister of Pakistan`s Balochistan province had a narrow escape Monday when his convoy was shot at by unidentified gunmen, a media report said.
Finance Minister Asim Kurd was on his way to Mastung in Balochistan after visiting Asimabad when armed men opened indiscriminate firing at his convoy, Online news agency reported.
Luckily the minister escaped unhurt.
Mastung Deputy Commissioner Noor Ul Haq said the attackers did not target the provincial minister but that they were dacoits and had fired at the police personnel in his convoy. When police retaliated, the dacoits fled the scene.
