Kathmandu: At least Six people were killed and three went missing after rain-triggred landslides struck central and western Nepal, where a restaurant located on the banks of a lake in tourist spot Pokhara was burried on Monday.
Heavy rains early this morning caused landslides that crushed the restaurant located on the banks of Phewa Lake in famous tourist spot Pokhara, killing three people, police said.
Rescue teams comprising Nepal Police, Nepal Army and Armed Police Force pulled out the three bodies from the debris.
One person went missing after the incident. The deceased and the missing were the workers of the restaurant.
In a separate incident, three people died while two others went missing after landslide buried a house in Baramphi-1 area of Khamare village in Sindhupalchowk district in the east of Kathmandu.
